EDDIE MOORE
b. 9-14-40 d. 5-21-90
Eddie grew up in San Francisco, California and was a member of both Stanley Turrentine’s and Sonny Rollins’ groups. Over a three decade career, Eddie backed Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, and Thelonious Monk.
We lost him on May 21st, 1990 of a heart attack while in the midst of a drum solo at Yoshi’s in Oakland, CA.
